Commercially produced "Common Place Book" (Baltimore : E.J. Coale & Co., 1822) contains quotations from the Bible and notes on church doctrine, the succession of bishops, and other related material; thoughts on friendship, ambition, death, and drinking; recipes, anecdotes, the words to songs (ca. 1822-ca. 1836) compiled by Thomas John Young. The volume also contains a copy of Young's resignation (1836) from the Church of the Holy Trinity in Grahamville, South Carolina. Loose papers include a copy of a legal document (1888) concerning a warrant (1681) pieces of land (lots) acquired by the French Protestant (Huguenot) Church.
